We are a small living history group based in the North of Scotland. Our aim is to keep alive the memories and sacrifices made by the British soldier during the Second World War, by wearing and displaying the uniforms and equipment of the time. We portray a Vickers machine gun team of the 1/7 Middlesex Regiment (the famous 'Diehards'). The battalion were support gunners to 51st Highland Division, serving with the division throughout the North African campaign and North West Europe, through to the end of the war. We are members of a larger organisation, the Scottish Military re-enactment Society, and display at various shows around the UK. |
