La Garde Imperiale Foot Artillery

Napoleonic wars

This unit has an international reputation for being one of the most professional artillery groups in the world for its period, with 4 full size period guns making half a battery with bearskin and red plumes they make a great impact on any battle field.

Also they have worked with the Royal Philharmonic for 1812 nights as well as films, and TV  appearances, attended the 1995 waterloo event were they combined with a group from Russia to provide  for the first time since 1815 a full size battery, only recently have they undertaken living history displays and can demonstrate the use of the only working gynn known in Europe, used for field maintenance of the artillery guns.

This group is always looking for new members and with the 2005 Waterloo event coming up they are recruiting for all positions, so if your interested then visit them in their encampment with the French Napoleonic army and learn more.
