Desert Storm Gulf War Period

The Gulf War display started 1997 when the founder member bought a 1975 ex Army radio Land Rover and painted it sand camouflage. He then displayed it under a desert camouflage net at a large military show.
Things have grow since then and a group of friends have been fielding larger displays at shows since the start. The latest being a display with three Land Rovers, a Chevy Blazer, a 5 ton US truck, a Rapier AA missile system, a Ferret Scout Car and a FV432 APC. All were displayed against a backdrop of genuine British Army Gulf War tents and camouflage nets.
The group strive to setup a diorama that looks real, even down to using 50's camo nets on as a floor covering to look like sand. They are a very informal group of people who because of a mutual interest in military vehicles can put on a display of surprising depth.
