KENSEIKAI KENT DOJO

The Martial Art of Iaido was brought to England's shores by Sensei Fujii Okimitsu, who taught our Sensei, Richard Obbard.

Richard and his Dojo members will be demonstrating the use of the incredibly efficient and beautiful Japanese Sword&ldots;

Swordsmen and women in traditional clothes will be showing 450 year old movements honed to perfection by the Samurai whose lives depended on their skill with the Katana&ldots;The kata, ( a series of precise movements) will be explained and sometimes demonstrated by two or more people

Watch demonstrations of Tameshigiri, or cutting of targets, showing how easily (in the right hands,) the Japanese Sword cuts.
