Shrapnel's Battery Royal Artillery of the 1770's

Shrapnel's Battery creates an authentic insight into the Royal Artillery of the 1770's. Their display includes field guns and mortars in use and are demonstrated and explained by experienced gunners. Shrapnel's Battery is fielded by members of St Barbara's Club.

Presenting a picture of 18th Century life in the Royal Artillery, Shrapnel's Battery dress in authentic uniforms and use equipment modelled on original.

The group comprise Artillery enthusiasts who thrive on firing a muzzle-loading cannon. The group enjoy talking to the public and showing off their colourful uniforms!
